This PTC Creo model represents the design of a 'decorative vase'. While a vase may appear simple, its smooth curves and shape make it an excellent example for practicing advanced surface modeling techniques in CAD software. The key feature used in creating this model is the 'Boundary Blend tool' in PTC Creo. Boundary Blend allows designers to generate smooth surfaces by connecting multiple curves or boundaries. In this project, the tool was used to blend different profile curves to form the vase’s flowing body shape. Working on this model helps learners understand several important CAD concepts, such as: Creating reference sketches and curves to guide complex shapes Using the Boundary Blend feature to generate smooth freeform surfaces Controlling surface continuity and curvature for a natural design Converting surfaces into a solid model for manufacturing or visualization Beyond being a CAD exercise, this vase model can also be prepared for 3D printing.
