The France I is a meteorological ship specially designed to take surface and upper air measurements at a fixed position in the Atlantic Ocean, on behalf of the World Meteorological Organization. It was the property of Météo-France and in service from 1958 to 1985. Classified as a historical monument, it is now in the Maritime Museum of La Rochelle.
