Designing the chassis of a FSAE vehicle is the foremost task for a chassis designer. Proper triangulation in between the beam and truss members is necessary for adequate force distribution on all the load bearing points. One should also remember that a chassis is a huge bracket which holds the entire vehicle together. Also, one should finalize the suspension pickup points (both front and rear) prior to designing the entire chassis.
