My concept of a skibike. For those who haven't seen one yet - i it is a winter device that brings you down the slopes with big smile on your face... Frame is made of 4130 cr-mo tubing in dimensions: 30 mm OD top tube, 35 mm downtube, 40 mm swingarms both front and rear, 38 mm for headtube. Front shock is 20 cm in ete lenght which gives you over 130 mm travel and rear 19 cm ete with 125 mm travel. If you use coil shocks it is advisable to use coil under 350 lbs/in in front for best performance. Headtube angle rather steep in 70 degrees and short swingarm provide great maneuverability much like xc mountainbikes. Removable moto style seat for those who like riding standing on pegs. 6 mm thick baltic birch plywood is used as seat base plate and its connected to the main frame through machined aluminum clamps . Moto x footpegs are available from many sources... Skis used in this project are Revel 8 Blunt 88 cm in lenght. Ski mounts are made from rectangular stainless steel tubing 80/60 mm, thickness 3 mm. Hubs internals are press fit flanged sealed bearings F6200-2RS 10x30x9 with 10 mm bolt/axle. 10 mm through axle can also be used. Both front and rear swingarms rotate around pivot tube OD 30 mm. Bushings are available LFM-3034-16 IGUS polymer bushings. Weight of a complete assembly should be under 25 lbs
