The complete model of an oil pump including every component and channel. I wanted to understand how exactly the pump works, and took it apart completely. The weirdly shaped wire mates with a groove in the flywheel type clutch of the chainsaw. This means oil is only transmitted to the chain when the clutch is actuated above a certain RPM, and even automatically adjusts the transmitted volume with speed. Not to mention that the pail (flat part of the cylindrical gear's shaft), which pushes the oil forward, can be adjusted manually as well. Based on how much of the pail acts on the flowing oil, it transmits more or less towards the chain. I hope you'll have fun looking through it! The assembly was made as a multibody SolidWorks Part.
