GENEVA MECHANISM · 模型 46678
The Geneva mechanism, also called the Geneva drive is a mechanical system that turns continuous rotary motion into step-by-step movement. It has two main parts: a driving wheel with a pin and a driven wheel with evenly spaced slots, usually shaped like a cross. As the driving wheel rotates, its pin fits into one of the slots on the driven wheel, causing it to move forward by a set amount. Between these movements, the driven wheel stays still, creating a stop-and-go motion. This system is commonly used in devices like film projectors, clocks, and automated machines where precise, step-by-step movement is needed.
