A new design concept for a 'GIMBALLED CUBE IN A CUBE', created "Just For Fun". This model has not been 3D printed yet as a first sample. So I can't give a guarantee, that the function is given as expected. Don't forget to have look at the exploded STEP model in the 3D Viewer. Here you can see, that the two bearing rings are diveded and the inner cube is loaded by a ball bearing ball. The outer cube is divided too, so that the main assembly can assembled easily. For fixing the outer cube halves and the divided bearing rings use a suitable adhesive. If you are interested for a 3D printing try, please give me a feedback, no matter whether a positive or negative result. May be, that an inserted lead ball (diameter = 6 mm) instead the ball bearing ball, is the better choice for getting bigger torques for rotations of the inner GIMBALLED CUBE. FEM analyses have not been done. The main assembly of the model is available as a STEP file and all components as STL files.
