The H tree is yet again part of a bigger branch in mathematics called Space filling curves or short SFC. Its goal is to fill out the entire 2D space only using a 1D line. The H tree is designed by aligning perpinticular line segments together. I just took those 2D images from Wolfram Alpha and extruded it into 3D using Solidworks.
