Hemingway's boat PILAR. CAD (STEP) and drawings for my 1:12 scale model of Pilar. Note: Nobody has the original drawings for Pilar, but I believe my design to be more accurate than most other models. Change my mind! Initial release with just the hull portion; cabin and fittings will follow in good time. JPG images of the 2D drawings are for depiction only, use the full size PDFs here. The PDFs print on ANSI "E" sheets, you need 36" wide paper for this. Corrected an issue with the coaming which impacted every hull frame. All frame drawings and the STEP file are revised. Copies downloaded prior to today should be discarded. Update 05SEP22: Added new STEP file containing entire PILAR model Added 2D drawings for cabin framing, profile, outrigger detail. Future: Additional 2D detail drawings to be added, but no more 3D changes- all components that are to be detailed are already in the single STEP file. Photos: I have multi MB zip files full of photos from Finca Vigia, and historic photos harvested from the web. Can't post ZIPs here... if you are serious about Pilar, contact me. June 14 2026 Update: Rebuilding this entire posting due to...issues. Note: All models, plans, and the resulting 1:12 scale wood model are all of my own design and construction.
