Found this plan of a freeflight helicopter on the internet. Decided to 3D model it as best as I can. It has imperial dimensions so some may or may not be accurate. Reused a model from Ruairidh Scott-Brown of the COX Pee Wee 020 engine. Model is accurate but from a later model so the vent tubes of the tank are different than what is used in this helicopter. I altered the model to be as close to the plans as possible. The fuselage is not that detailed. I just made it as one part and not as an assembly. Main rotor blades have a dihedral angle. The linkage of the stabilizer does not have any ball links so I do not think it will teeter without any binding in the mechanism. Anyway the author made it work so feel free to make it and find out yourself. It even has a autorotation mechanism that will alter the main blade angle (read the article for details). I thinks it is a clever design. I am not sure if I am going to make it in real life but just makes you wonder how it would perform.
