I am building a super heavy duty porch on my home. I am using telephone posts for the support posts. I am tired of small posts rotting out. I needed a way to set them up and in the ground. So I built this contraption. I just lean one end on the roof of the house. Then using a come along, I slowly hoist the poles up and into place.
