Full reverse engineering project of the legendary Honda K-Series valve cover. Converted from raw 3D scan data into a manufacturing-ready, parametric CAD model. Design Intent: This is not just a "wrapped" scan. I reconstructed the geometry to restore the original design intent: ✅ Fixed Warpage: The original cast part had deformations. I restored perfect flat mating surfaces. ✅ Draft Angles: Applied draft angles for proper casting/molding feasibility. ✅ Clean Look: "Shaved" the OEM logo for a clean, billet-style aesthetic suitable for custom builds. Workflow: 🔹 Scan Processing: Geomagic Design X 🔹 Parametric Modeling: Siemens NX (Surfacing & Solid Modeling) 🔹 Validation: Deviation analysis to ensure <0.5mm accuracy to the original casting.
