As a student of Mechanical Engineering, I have always had a keen interest in planes, rockets and yes, cars. Supercars, to be exact. They are indeed, the very definition of Horsepower owing to their extraordinary speed, acceleration and handling which push the boundaries of physics to the limit. Performance aside, an interesting thing which I have realised when I browse through images of supercars is that there is something or the other which gives each one of them a particular uniqueness. It varies from crazy spoilers, to intimidating headlights, to even some futuristic wheel rims. The best part about these features is that they are not only just aesthetically pleasing, but they also serve important purposes. Hence, I wanted to create something that would showcase this uniqueness for all those supercar enthusiasts out there. My design for the Pebble has three main features: 1. The three cars are the centrepiece of this design. Each one of them is designed to be as different as possible from the other two in order to keep up with my theme of uniqueness. 2. Carbon fibre is truly a fascinating material within the automotive world. Combining strength with light weight, its usage is becoming more and more common for the bodies of supercars. The lower half of the Pebble has a realistic carbon fibre texture. 3. Furthermore, I have also depicted the classic racing checkered pattern with a colourful twist. The Pebble showcases a variety of PolyJet capabilities from complex geometry and colour schemes to intricate textures. Please refer to the Documentation file attached for detailed information. Note: While extracting the folder containing the OBJ and MTL files, please make sure that you have enough memory on your computer because the OBJ file is huge (around 1GB).
