Here's a shower/tub design for my safety class. The task was to create a shower or tub that can be placed in a hotel and resolve some of the safety issues with normal hotel baths. Here are some key features with this shower and tub: 1) The floor has a removable rubber mat to prevent slipping and falling 2) The shower has a staircase and railing to help people, especially older people, to get in and out the tub. It gives the tub a pool/jacuzzi kind of style 3) There are 3 knobs on the shower. The one on the left turns on the water and controls the temperature. The one in the middle controls where the water comes out from and has a safety feature to close of the pipes and stop the water from coming out both the shower head and faucet. The one on the right controls the water pressure, allowing one to control how soft or hard the water falls on there skin. It can even be used as a pressure washer to clean the tub. 4) There are drawers on the wall allowing one to store any kind of shower products, hair care products, skin care products, grooming products, etc. 5) There towel bar is on the inside of the shower door to allow ease of access to the towel. This by no means is a perfect shower/tub. It's more so is an assignment and test to see if my class can take a shower and make it safer. So feel to comment or even make improvements if you like.
