Keep motivated during your next hill climb with this ice cream maker attachment. Also a good way to keep the kids busy during picnics. YayLabs makes a ball that you fill with ice cream ingredients, salt, and ice. After 20 minutes of playing with the ball (or pedaling in this case) you will have ice cream. I originally had the ball touch the bike wheel directly, but then realized that it would be spinning too fast, so I added the small cam wheel to slow things down. I used FDM to print a 1:3 scale model just for fun. The assembly shows inexpensive "fidget spinner" bearings, but it could also be designed with 3D printed bushings using SLA (with high temp polymer) or SLS (with metal powder). I would like to thank Manolo Valenzuela for the use of his "Mountain Bike" model in my assembly.
