INTERLACED HONEYCOMB SYSTEM for Cryogenic Fluid Management · 模型 266216

In an unreleased version, here is the interlaced honeycomb heat exchanger in a 3D-printable monoblock design. Starting with a Costa triple surface enclosed in a hexagonal shape, the basic cell has been created to be multiplied to obtain a large fluid exchange volume. The exterior of the honeycomb shape generates a ribbed outer surface of the heat exchanger, which increases the rigidity of the whole while retaining the appearance of a conventional heat exchanger. Hotter and colder fluids cross each other and intertwine inside the exchanger. More effective than a gyroid, the minimization of turbulence coupled with optimized fluid displacement contribute to maximum efficiency. Another advantage of this design is that the cells can be multiplied at will in width, height and length. The example given in the 3D model proposes a geometry in which the number of cells is limited by the volume of 3D formats to be submitted. Likewise, the initial honeycomb shape has been simplified to minimize STEP file volume, although the manufacturing version may include wave shapes, without breaking the cell's exagonal external shape Improved fluidity will be possible. The overall result is excellent pressure resistance, ease of 3D printing, optimized overall weight and easy adaptation to different types of printable metal, such as cupro-aluminum. In a version where extra-thin metal 3D printing would be possible, cell multiplication of only 1 to 5 MM is possible, with this dimensional parameter to be adjusted according to fluid viscosity. 3D .sldprt files available on request ☺
