Investment Powder Solvent Washing Machine · 模型 64727
I am working on an initial concept for an Investment Casting Powder Washing & Reclamation Machine using Solid Edge. The goal is to clean oil-contaminated casting powder using Trichloroethylene (TCE) solvent before it undergoes final drying in a microwave. Brief Overview & Features:Dual-Basket System: Includes separate Washing and Pre-Drying stations so washing and initial solvent drainage can run in parallel. Multi-Stage Filtration: Features a top basket filter and a Stage 2 fine filter below the buffer baffle to keep fine powder out of the circulation tank. Density-Based Solvent Reclamation: Takes advantage of density differences (TCE is heavier than oil), allowing oil to float at the top while clean TCE recirculates via a bottom pump. I know there is still a lot of room for improvement in this design. Based on your experience, I’d love to get your thoughts, advice, or critiques on:Filter Maintenance: What would be the most practical sliding, latch, or mounting mechanism for the Stage 2 filter so operators can easily remove and clean it?Solvent Vapor & Safety: Since TCE is a chemical solvent, what sealing methods or enclosure design features would you recommend to keep vapors contained safely?Structure & DFM (Design for Manufacturing): Any suggestions regarding sheet metal thickness, frame rigidity, or access points for repairing the bottom circulation pump?Any feedback, constructive criticism, or practical advice from your shop-floor experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
