This camera case is for anyone who wants to take photos underwater. The case is fully waterproof and holds an Ion Air Pro action camera. This action camera is similar to the GoPro in quality, but it costs less. Therefore this case is perfect for anyone who wants to start underwater photography. I use this case for SCUBA diving and Freediving. It is easy to use because of the GoPro like mounting on the bottom of the camera case. This allows for it to be mounted onto any GoPro dive tray for steady pictures. The case is easy to use and to assemble. It consists of two main parts: the main body and the cap. The main body can be printed in one piece. After printing the main body, I recommend placing a light layer of glue on the outside to ensure the case is not porous. The hole on top of the case is for a waterproof button. The button is made of one small rubber O-ring and one small pin. Both of these items can be acquired at your local hardware store. You will also need a larger rubber O-ring to go between the cap and the main body. This can also be acquired a local hardware store. The cap is made of two parts: the base and the clear lens. The base is 3D printed. The clear lens is made of Plexiglas. After printing the lid, cut the Plexiglas to fit inside of the lens. Please observe the rendering if this is unclear. If you need help understanding how to assemble the case, please ask. I designed this case because I needed a solution to take high quality photos underwater. The design available is my seventh model and it has exceeded my expectations. The cap screws on to the main body with ease and the seal holds. Please enjoy using this on your next dive! All of the attached photos, except for the one with the Freediver standing, were taken by the Ion Air Pro action camera. In both underwater photos, the camera is in the case.
