Summary I enjoy riding motorcycles and sometimes use my cell phone's GPS to get to places whose addresses I don't know very well. I need a mount to keep my cell phone secure on the motorcycle, in front of me, while I'm riding. I did a lot of research online and saw that there are several different types, so I took an idea from here and another from there and designed one to test. The first model, although not the best option, was good, but it still lacked something to improve, as it didn't solve some small problems. So I decided to make a new project improving the previous one. Initially, the project works well with the iPhone 13 Pro and the mount fits perfectly on the Honda NC 750x motorcycle with a Ø22 mm tube, which is easily found on the market. For those who want to make adaptations for other smartphone models, I left the project in Fusion 360 format to facilitate editing. Once installed, the mount is positioned just above the motorcycle's dashboard, providing excellent visibility of both the dashboard and the smartphone. This mount is more robust than the previous one and attaches to the Honda accessory with an articulated base and 4 Allen screws (M5 x 25 mm) with domed heads and their respective M5 hexagonal nuts. This time, I opted for a clip with an articulated handle on the front, which eliminates the need to remove the mount; that is, everything remains in place, with only the smartphone exposed, which facilitates installation and removal when necessary, without having to leave it on the motorcycle. The mount is not yet rainproof. As the phone is waterproof, I haven't worried about this detail yet, but for those who will use another phone, they will need to consider this aspect. On the right side, there is a power cable input for the charger so the rider can use the motorcycle's power source for long trips without having to worry about recharging the smartphone battery. Again, I chose ABS material due to its superior resistance to sun and high temperatures, but other materials can also be used without problems. The robust structure ensures long durability even in sun and rain.
