Italian 10 Bee Hive: Dadant-Blatt · 模型 17067
The classic 10-frame hive is based on the original model designed by Reverend Lorenzo L. Langstroth in 1851 in America, later modified by Charles Dadant in 1859 and by Blatt. The Dadant-Blatt model was used to standardize the Italian hive, the Italica-Carlini hive, in 1932, and subsequently modified. The most common hive construction material is 25 mm thick fir wood; other materials, such as plastic and polyurethane foam, have been experimented with, but with little success. The hive we are considering is the nomadic Dadant-Blatt model, consisting of a floor, a brood box, a super, a honeycomb cover, and a roof; a brood box with ten frames, and a super with nine frames.
