I’m final student of Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). I want to challenge myself to create a tool gauge for inspection spur gear process. Corporate with Crescent Gear Solution company to achieve this project. The issue is when the assembly team want to insert parallel key into keyway slot it stuck. Quality team need to double check the measurement and return back to production team for repair. This case causes lot of issue, time and cost. This project is to eliminate the error by creating a tool gauge measurement before sending the gear to assembly team. The inspiration of this design came from tool gauge to measure cylinder engine using telescopic bore. The challenge is to create jig support that hold the telescopic bore. Further study is to create a one piece of measurement tool gauge. Using Anet A8 Plus 3D Printer, material: 1.75mm PLA, 100 % infill density. Hope you get some idea or inspiration from it.
