In this project, the main aim is to design a knee simulator with a simple system that has lesser weight and not that bulky to test the loads acting on a knee joint/implant. We have also designed a knee implant prototype in SOLID WORKS on which stress analysis is performed and total deformation is obtained. We have introduced equivalent stress analysis with three different loads for 10,000 Cycles on a knee implant and the whole simulator with the knee implant in place. We have developed a Knee Simulator Test Rig which efficiently performs flexion-extension motion on a knee implant with reduced time intervals. This design costs lesser to construct and manufacture.
