My invention was a fairly simple one: a lazy susan lock. Its purpose is very straight-forward: it locks the door(s) of the lazy susan that you may have in your own kitchen. This may be handy if you have an infant or young child at home who might pinch their fingers in the closing doors. Also, it can protect stored goods or supplies inside the lazy susan from being damaged or broken. Its design, however, may be a little bit more challenging to understand. First off, it starts a stick with a hook on one end. The other end fits snug inside a slot inside the arm. This is for adjusting the length of the arm so that it may reach across different surfaces. The arm has a hole on the opposite end, inside which there is the axle/adhesion plate (on which the whole arm revolves). Insert this piece into the hole in the arm. On the bottom of the axle/adhesion plate, strong Velcro or any other adhesive can be applied so that it sticks to the surface adjacent to the lazy susan door. Place the rubber cap over the axle/adhesion plate. Finally, the bottom side of the nut is applied with an adhesive. This is placed adjacent to the lock (arm, hook, axle/adhesion plate and cap combined into one part) and on the lazy susan door. To lock the door, swing the arm down so that the inside of the hook is against the nut.
