Update 11/10/2019: Added the 12mm rod version for a more rigid design (needed as part of Cantilever) Update 3/15/2018: Uploaded version that is based on 2040 rail with slider that can hold 2020. The original screw driven rail (https://grabcad.com/library/screw-driven-rail-1) lends itself nicely to having one of each on each side of a 3D printer. Up and down is accurate but on itself it doesn’t have a lot of lateral supports. Since, I’m looking into cantilever designs I revised the rail to introduce a second linear rod, widening and thus stabilizing the linear screw. I intend to use this implementation in a revamp of my Cantilever printer (https://grabcad.com/library/cantilever-3d-printer-1). All printed components clip onto the 1010 rail that REQUIRES the grooves to connect (this won't hold on smooth 1010 extrusion). Due to variances in 3D printers you may need to tweak the scale. The connection is strong. Once on, you'll need a hammer to get it off. following components can all be found on Amazon.com but if you have time and patience you can possibly source many from AliExpress for less. If you want the extrusion to be cut to length, I suggest you order them directly from the 8020.net Ordering pre-cut should make for better 90 degree angle cuts.
