This is a scavenged parts, simple flashlight. I use it to light my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night so I do not need to turn lights on. It originated from a 'Joule Thief' design I made and it morphed into a lithium powered, USB rechargeable flashlight. You can choose any color LED you want but red is the best for not destroying your night vision and waking up your partner. The only purchased parts are the printed tube, a little perf board and the USB single cell BMS. You will need a 150 to 200 ohm resistor so you do not burn up the LED.
