A new concept of a LIVE TRAP FOR MICE and a relative elaborate design. An updated version, for an easier manufacturing, is now available (Release B). The idea behind this design: An easy loading of the bait and a translational motion for closing the trapdoor. An easy opening and a save closing of the gate behind the bait. An easy opening of the trapdoor. Notes: Tension spring and compression spring are not yet calculated for a save function. Threads are modeled with theoretical values and without clearance. The model has not yet built up as a prototype, therefore I can't give a guarantee for a function as desired. The bait is not modeled. The cage housing could be an extruded aluminium profile, which is finished by machining. The sheet metal parts could be made of anodized steel. The socket could be made of wood or plastic. The springs should be made of spring steel. All other machined parts could be made of brass. Holes, slots or grooves in the housing can be done by your own ideas, respective according to your own wishes. The models are provided in the following data formats: STEP-files (.stp) of the complete assemblies (Rel. A and Rel. B) and all native files (Rel. A), (.prt) and (.asm), in a (.7z)-folder, for users of »PTC Creo Parametric 2.0«
