Makita Battery Soldering Iron Adapter · 模型 25412
I had a need to use my trusty Weller soldering iron in places away from a wall socket. Instead of buying another soldering iron that was gas or battery (likely small battery) powered, I came up with this little project to take advantage of my Makita LXT 18V battery. This is a more complex project that may not 100% meet your requirements, but project parts may be useful. The first challenge was to transform my 18V battery voltage to 24V/28V that my Weller soldering iron needed. I ended up using a buck booster step up module. There are several different modules on the market. The one I used (see included specs sheet) I had on hand and easily met the power rating and specifications I needed. The buck booster together with a push button switch and panel mount socket were integrated into a 3D printed box designed to fit my Makita LXT 18V battery. See included photos. For robustness (trodden-on, dropping), this has been printed in PETG. Other filament types can also be used, too.
