I calculated and designed a manual linear stage. Ball load and spring calculations were performed in Excel. Technical drawings were prepared and all components were selected in accordance with ISO standards. The unit can be stacked to form an XY configuration using ISO 4762 M2×6 screws. A Mitutoyo 148-104-10 (MHS1-13A) micrometer screw was selected and used in accordance with the desired range of motion.
