A manually operated pinch valve designed for precise control of flow in pipelines carrying fluids with suspended solids. The valve operates by compressing an internal flexible sleeve (usually made of rubber or elastomer) using a handwheel mechanism, effectively “pinching” the flow path closed. This design provides full bore flow when open and a tight seal when closed, making it ideal for corrosive, abrasive, or viscous media. Commonly used in chemical, mining, wastewater, and slurry transport systems. It’s a mechanically simple, low-maintenance valve — no cavities to trap media, and the only part in contact with the fluid is the inner sleeve.
