Universal cargo platform to use in all the land vehicles, with standard parts that are easy to replace and store developed for the HP and Local Motors "Mars Home Planet Urbanization Challenge". This kind of vehicle can reduce the costs of manufacture, transport, infrastructures and design and can simplify the operations on Mars significantly. For this reason I have developed an standard platform that can be used to transport heavy loads, but can be used too as a mobile platform for all kinds of vehicles. Just mounting the different modules on the top of the platforms, we will have all the different vehicles neccesary to explore and work on the martian surface. All this parts can be transported to Mars in compact packages. I have tried to simplify as much as possible the different systems of the platform to have a reliable transport system. The simplicity allows too to use less EVA time to assembly the different platforms and in a long stay colony, even allows to manufacture many of the parts using a simple process. You can combine this modules to form a bigger platform as you can see in the renders.
