Hey, lately I have been working on this surface model, I am driving a 1999 E240 and wanted to practise 3D modelling again. Beside a regular 9 to 5 engineer employment and some hobby sports, it took me about 2 months. Not perfect, but it is, what it is. Next will be better. I am using Solidworks 2012 SP2, old, but my own PC can run this one. It was challenging to knit all the surfaces at the end, creating a solid body, I would like to 3D print the scaled version. All the models are my work, I didn't want to use someone else's wheel or the mercedes emblem or so. You can find the native files and step and parasolid as well. I did some renderings, also in Solidworks, Photoview. I used front, side, top, back view true to size blueprints. The wheel I wanted to set the sizes myself, then after assembling it I missed something, it was too small, so scaled it up.
