An "Axis-Less" clock, a "Round Funny Smiley" clock, or a "MerryGo" clock! Not only a Christmas gift, but also a real clock if you put a step electric motor on top of the "Smiley"! Presently, it shows only one hour! not more...! It could be promote to be a real fantastic clock. A new creatively combination of gears, Only 5 of them, convert every round of the radial "Smiley" to just 1 minute-rotation of the pointer. It sparks in my mind right after I noticed this challenge has begun. the idea seemed to be nice! but a little tough to understand exactly, after some days of experimentation, I got the exact relation between the gears! It takes me one week of hard work, but, works precisely. Of course, the aspect of gears teeth are so that the "Red" gear is always translate in a round path and does not rotate about its center! there is 360 teeth on the big gear, and 40 ones on the next gear, by the other next reduction gears, respectively 4.5 and 2, that occurs! 360/40=9=4.5*2 after all, there is one gear with 59 and the last with 60 gears, that's all! It is totally fitted to the required dimensions. For a better and live view of the animation, I recommend to open the "Replay file" in CATIA. this project was done by CATIA V5-6R2013.
