This concerns a detailed technical design of a portable barbecue or table grill, constructed entirely out of sheet metal. The model is three-dimensionally rendered and displays various functional components typical of a precision metalworking project: The housing and frame: The base structure forms a rectangular metal chassis that rests on four support feet at the bottom. The frame is designed to provide structural rigidity to both the internal components and the exterior. The sliding drawer: An integrated drawer is positioned at the front of the lower half. This drawer is equipped with a handle attached to the front face via rivets or screws, ensuring practical accessibility. The grill plate: Located at the top of the frame is a horizontally positioned cooking or grill plate. This plate features a regular pattern of elongated slot holes to enable efficient airflow. The edges are cleanly finished with cutouts that align with the structure. The lid (hood): A semi-cylindrical lid is mounted at the rear, which can be positioned open. The name "Michiel Raes" is inscribed on the handle of this lid. The pivot points securely connect the hood to the main frame. Technical Execution and Manufacturing This type of project is designed within a 3D CAD software suite such as SOLIDWORKS, utilizing specialized sheet metal tools to generate flat patterns.
