John Dobson was an amateur Astronomy who is best known for the Dobsonian Telescope which was a portable, and low cost Newtonian reflector telescope. He gave public lectures, in order to spread awareness for Astronomy as a whole. In 2018 I was gifted an 8 Inch Dobsonian Telescope from SkyScrapers Inc. Amateur Astronomical Society of Rhode Island at the Frank Evans Seagrave Memorial Observatory in North Scituate RI, 47 Peeptoad Rd. This model is not to scale. If it was it would exceed the constraints of this challenge. Everything except for the wheels are scaled to 0.2, the wheels are 0.3 scaled. It is composed of 7 parts. A primary, secondary, and tertiary mirror. A base with a circular protrusion for the rest of the telescope to spin on. A swivel base, with various cuts allowing the telescope to rest on it as well as enough space for said telescope to tilt. Finally there is the telescope itself with an eyepiece, reticle/sight and suspended holders for all three mirrors. And a set of 4 wheels.The original, and model have two black bases with a red telescope. The original does not have wheels on it, but since this is a redesign I have added Steel colored wheels to it.
