MVP Bulls CoVent-19 · 模型 199136

The general design of the MVP Bulls Ventilator utilizes a similar mechanical design to the modern elevator door. Our design will use a motor to turn a belt bidirectionally, moving a set of arms in the direction of the moving belt. There will be a total of four arms in sets of two, each connected to the belt with clamps, that will deflate two bags and then retract to allow them to re-inflate; one bag will be inspiratory, and the other expiratory. During the squeeze-phase, where the ambu bags are squeezed, one bag will push O2 into the patient while the other bag pushes CO2 from the previous breath out of the system. For the release-phase, where the bags reinflate, the O2 bag will pull oxygen from the source and the CO2 bag will pull the CO2 from the patient as they exhale. Similar to the modern elevator mechanism, two of the arms will be connected to the part of the belt that goes over the top of the pulleys while the remaining two arms will be connected to the bottom portion of the belt, thus allowing for opposite motions between each set of arms (i.e. as the two arms connected at the top move to the left, the two arms connected at the bottom will move toward the right). The design will incorporate multiple unidirectional valves that allow for unidirectional air flow through the inspiratory and expiratory sides of the system, multiple sensors to measure pressure and fluid flow, and regulators. Prior to the pump stage, a regulator will be used to regulate the air-oxygen mixture, which will feed into the tube leading to the inspiratory bag. A warmer/humidifier will be included after the pump stage of the ventilator before the air travels to the patient. A controller will adjust the speed and position of the motor in order to adjust the tidal volume, I:E ratio, respiratory rate, and PEEP.
