A nanoindenter is a scientific instrument used to measure the mechanical properties of materials at the nanometer scale. It operates by applying a precise and controllable force onto a small probe, which is then pressed into the surface of the material being tested. The resulting indentation or deformation in the material is measured to calculate properties such as hardness and elastic modulus. Various modes of operation, such as depth-sensing and dynamic indentation, provide different insights into material behavior. This tool is particularly important in fields like materials science, where understanding small-scale characteristics can influence the design of more durable or effective materials. This project was designed in terms of the quality control of materials and constructions' lesson, at the University of the Peloponnese. This is a simplified version of the indenter below on the link, for educational reasons.
