I was to late for the NASA Clamp competition but tried somthing anyway. SadlyI only get to play with CAD when I visit my old colleagues. I was impressed with of the entries but realised many were highly fanciful and not very practical. So I took a pragmatic approach which is slightly out of the box, A simple design with no loose objects to fly around, 3D Printable Usable / Mountable with one hand. Use of existing tracking. Assembled with available parts. Cheap. Strong. Velcro for final mounting to rail, or any textil (clothing etc) It needs the safety corners radius adding and there is room for some material saving, but I am happy with it so far.
