NASA Harpoon-2 · 模型 109253
In this project, in comparison with the NASA Harpoon (https://grabcad.com/library/nasa-harpoon-1) I wanted to take into account all the shortcomings and reduce the weight and dimensions of the device as much as possible. To do this, I changed the “shot” method. Now this is a pyrotechnic composition - you need very little of it (I think no more than 1 gram). After tightening the antenna panels with standard cables, the holes in two opposite panels will be aligned. There are two grommets on each of the two panels. One of them contains pistons (their silhouette no longer resembles a harpoon). The rods do not extend beyond the contour of the panel and during overload and vibration they are held in place by spring petals compressed to the base diameter. After the piston moves, its front part will be wedged in the bushing of the opposite panel by means of spring petals, and the rear part of the piston will rest against the end of its bushing. Piston movement 12 mm. The panels will be rigidly connected. In this case, a narrow annular gap will be formed between the cylinder and the piston and gases will flow out of the cylinder. The pyrotechnic composition is ignited by an electric spark. The ignition can be individual for each cylinder or for a group of (all) cylinders. Battery and high voltage converter with remote control (radio). (Here you can use a fire cord; if it burns in water, it will burn in a vacuum :-)) The main parts are made of 6061 aluminum, the piston is made of titanium - diffusion welding does not occur between aluminum and titanium during prolonged contact in a vacuum. Added weight for each panel is about 60 grams Everything is very simple. If you have any questions I will try to answer ______________ *As a child, I made model rockets. The engine for them was made from a cardboard cartridge case of a hunting cartridge. The flammable composition produced a lot of smoke (gases) and burned at a relatively low temperature - the cardboard sleeve did not have time to ignite.
