My Second Submission for the NASA Lunar Sampling System Design. The RSC weighs a total of 492g ,measuring 26cm breadth , 20cm length and a max height of 6.5cm. It consists of 1.a front rake with 2cm between teeth to prevet rocks larger than 2 cm entering the system. 2. An overhead 360 degree camera connected to view regolith and approve of sample collection. 3. A controlled motor to rotate the collection scoop. 4 . The collection scoop is a spiraling convoluted cylindrical scoop with cupped blades. The cupped blades are designed to push the scooped material to the end of the scoop during rotation. The cupped blades are perforated intermittently. the perforated blades pick up rocks first and sieve the sand while the next un-perforated blade carries the sand and dust. 5. the collected material is pushed through a channel into the collection cylinder.
