This .obj (Oculus_Pro_R_Controller_Scan.obj) is a scan of the newly released (2022) Oculus Pro 3D Controller. I used a newly purchased EinScan Pro HD 3D Scanner, this was my first scan with this particular 3D scanner - the scan mesh is decent enough to be used for custom controller 3D printed peripherals; especially for hobbyists (such as myself). I used a previous Einscan 3D scanner to scan the Quest 2 controller and created a golf club mount with great success, so I have faith this will perform just as well. I did have to apply some developer (AESUB Blue) spray on the controller to scan it as it is now black instead of white and the Pro HD is a structured light scanner, so some of the scan can be a little "topographically challenged." I have not used this scanned data to create anything for this controller yet, so I do not have a first hand experience with scan. So YMMV. The "Oculus_Pro_R_Controller_R-Eng.obj" is a "sorta" reversed engineered attempt I did to quickly get the data I needed for future designs; I used Rhino 3D and Mesh2Surface to chop up the original scan data and used QuadRemesh (Rhino 3D v7) to create the surfaces. I am sure Meta will release the models in the near future like they did with the Quest 2, if they have not already; until then I hope someone can find some use for this mesh. Cheers.
