Office Chair Structural FEA – Ansys Static & Fatigue Analysis (4th Year Coursework) · 模型 122394
4th-year Mechanical Engineering (University of Dundee) coursework project. Ergonomic office chair modelled in SolidWorks and analysed in Ansys Static Structural to evaluate structural performance under realistic loading. Imported full chair assembly and ran three load cases simulating 75 kg user. Refined mesh, applied fixed supports and directional forces, and extracted maximum stress, strain, deformation, safety factors and fatigue life (S-N curve). Identified critical stress concentration at the shaft and discussed options to raise the safety factor and fatigue life. Demonstrates complete FEA workflow (geometry preparation, meshing, boundary conditions, post-processing, material selection and design iteration).
