A 15mm diameter wand for sputtering in-situ. This was designed to replace a window in an optical cryostat. It is entirely made of non-magnetic materials save for some ball bearings in the gate valve. The load lock uses a gate valve and provides a KF flange for attaching a turbo pump. There is a dual o-ring piston seal and a teflon centering ring. The wand has a tungsten filament wound around gold. A cap on the end is designed to lift up so it does not hit the sample and then cover the entire sample during the sputtering operation. The cap lifting mechanism is the weakest part of this and needs serious revision.
