Orthoginal Dual BiQuad (omnidirectional) 2.4 GHz Antenna · 模型 268280
This is a low cost Orthoginal Dual BiQuad (90 degrees out of phase) 2.4 GHz omnidirectional antenna that I modeled after a paper titled "Omnidirectional Biquad Omni-Antenna for 2.4 GHz Wireless Link Application" by Kalina Kalinovska and Peter Z. Petkov . It is composed of wire and an SMA Blukhead style connector. I created a custom center pin, but simple wire will suffice as well. This antenna can easily be modified for other center frequencies and connectors. Note : this antenna is fine as a receiving antenna, but has issues as a transmitting antenna since the RF electromagnetic field will couple back into the connector and outside of the coax. Therefore to improve this antenna a ground plane should be either inserted at the connector to shield the coax, or there should be a balanced feed line at least 1/4 wavelength away from where the coax connector transitions. - see my other model as an example.
