Ovulix v2.0 - GrabCAD Egg Drop Challenge · 模型 273006
This is a single print design for an egg protector. The aim is the use the flexible properties of 3D printed plastic to absorb the shock of a 15ft drop for the <a href="https://grabcad.com/challenges/3d-printing-egg-drop-challenge"> Egg Drop Challenge</a>. This is my second attempt for the challenge. Unfortunately this design also did not protect the egg. It may protect an egg from a lower drop but not 15ft. This design was much easier for support material removal, than the Ovulix v1.3. The brittleness of the ABS plastic caused it to crack on impact. There are a further 3 cousins of this design (Ovulix Range) that will be uploaded as separate entries. Videos of the failed attempt will be uploaded soon...
