Low-profile pallet chassis (dolly) engineered to stay compatible with standard hand pallet trucks. The engineering problem: hand pallet trucks are limited to roughly 200 mm lift height for safety reasons. If the pallet sits on a dolly, the forks must first clear the dolly before lifting the pallet — so the chassis has to stay below 95 mm overall height. Low height forces small castors, and the weak point of small castors is not the wheel but the housing: small housings are rated for far lower loads. Castors that combine 90 mm height with 180 kg load rating exist, but only at very high prices. The SLT solution: we take the solid housing of a 125 mm castor — with its full load rating — and re-machine it to accept a 65 mm wheel. The result: the height of a small castor, the load capacity of a large one, at a reasonable price.
