Landstown High School Governor’s STEM & Technology Academy Advising Instructor – Jennifer Renne My design are pendants for a necklace. These designs include an eagle, a jet, and a snake. The inspiration for this work is the US military and I intend to evoke the emotion of devotion and patriotism. The eagle is inspired by the US national bird, the Bald Eagle. I believe that putting this into the group of designs was a sound addition because it shows patriotism toward the American country. The holes and patterns in the design are there for aesthetics. The inspiration from this additionally came from my school’s mascot, a bald eagle. The snake is modeled after the, “don’t tread on me” poster for the US army. The reason I chose this design for the pendant is to continue with the theme for the US military. This second design is both recognizable and moving to the people of the American country. The jet is a design specifically addressing the US Air Force. I’ve chosen to use a jet because I have a lot of good friends, along with a lot of my parents’ friends whom have committed their lives into the Air Force. I’ve also added patterns for visual design.
