As humans continue to thrive, it is quite apparent that we have damaged the planet Earth which can be seen in the abuse of nonrenewable resources and global warming. Additionally, the human population continues to grow at an exponential rate. It’s inevitable that people will have to eventually relocate to another habitual territory. Keeping this daunting fact in mind, I decided to build a spaceship based on the architecture of the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai, China. I designed the spaceship’s measurements based off the tower, so the space ship stands at 463 meters tall. This would allow for an ample space where people can live as well as have space to store resources. I envisioned all the columns to act as rockets, allowing the ship to propel itself. The different angled columns would allow the pilot to maneuver the spaceship in the direction they desire. The ship itself is attached to the Oriental Pearl Tower based structure; it would function as the pilot and his/her crew's living quarters as well as where the pilot can direct the spaceship. Looking at the Oriental Pearl Tower structure itself, the balls will be storage units and labs for water, food, plants, building materials, and other resources. They can also function as living quarters for passengers; however, the rings in the long vertical section will be the main quarters for passengers. I intend this spaceship to provide humans with a chance to find a new home in space, while also providing an organized and comfortable living space.
