It is a version of the 208 specially prepared for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in the United States. Sébastien Loeb used it on June 30, 2013 to set a new record for the climb in 8 min 13 s 878, improving on the record set the previous year by New Zealander Rhys Millen by one minute and thirty three seconds (note, however, that this was the first edition on a fully paved road in dry weather). The 208 T16 Pikes Peak thus becomes the first vehicle to finish the course in less than 9 minutes enjoy !
