This project was done as part of a term project for SJSU's Mechatronic Capstone (ME 190) course. The term project was to design a system that used a PID controller. In our project, we were helping to develop a future lab for the San Jose State University Mechanical Engineering Department whereby students would calculate the mass moment of inertia of a metal frame constructed of 8020 materials and then with the motor parameters would calculate the appropriate Kp, Ki, and Kd for the controller and then test their calculations.
