Compared to B model, full-span flaperons, shemppp-hirth airbrakes. In mid-life a small upgrade to D-78 model, which had external changes; more pointed nose and horizontal stabilizer moved 12 cm forward. One red Pik-20D sailplane was delivered, some yellows and most were white. In renderings, the red is basic Pik20D, and white is Pik20D-78. A separate 3D model for each. A total of 167 were produced.
